    I really can't wait for the rumoured Nokia N9 featuring Meego. The phone reportedly has excellent specs and hopefully Meego will do everything that the N900 didn't. If it's well executed, I'd buy this phone over any of the multitude of Android clones out on the market today.

    Speaking of the N9, doesn't it seem likely that the N9 will be the first handset to utilize the (ST-Ericsson) U8500? I have heard claims that it will not have a dual core processor, but the timelines seem to match up perfectly, and ST-Ericsson has announced they have had design wins for that platform with Nokia...

    It says that the N9 will use Qualcomm's 1GHz QSD8250 processor. Nokia has said first MeeGo based phone won't be based on Intel's platform, but considering their close relation, we will be seeing Intel-based Nokia phones in the future.

    That clearly counts out the U8500 using Cortex A9, unless they plan to use that for lower end phones, and Intel on the high end.

    Intel is a still a long way off from developing smartphone chips that can compete with ARM cores in terms of power, so your idea is bogus. Maybe in 5 years.

    Oh and Moorestown is not enough.

    Thanks for pointing out the obvious genius. Nokia saying they won't deliver first MeeGo based devices with Intel platforms mean they will likely not deliver Moorestown based phones.

    Yes, Moorestown is not enough. Have I got to point out to every single idiot that significant amount of power advantages for ARM on smartphones currently has to do nothing with the ISA?

    * Intel fanboy alert*

    How is Moorestown not enough troll?

    From what i'm aware it's power requirements dont compare to ARM's offerings. So unless you want a phone that lasts about an hour i wouldn't take much notice of it., Would be much better for a tablet though.

    ARM make excellent CPU's for phones, cant see Intel really competing for a long time.

    With regards to you comment further down, please be a little more civil, and you will contribute to a better conversation.

    I wouldn't take a haphazard comment on a Chinese site as the final word on the specs, based the Google translation of it it might as well be typical "my guess is..." or "I sure hope..." comment.

    They can't come soon enough...
    I soo want to know what we're getting from progeny of the N900.
    Will Nokia finally hit a home run & start to claw back the high end!?
